dollars for change
CPU continues to strengthen our communities through
  unity, diversity, giving and togetherness.

CPU is sponsoring Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services “SFBFS”. Our Dollars for Change campaign
will promote unity, giving, diversity and togetherness to build a stronger Sacramento Community. This mutually
beneficial partnership will put a new spin on giving while continuing to meet the needs of our community.

CPU's goal is to enrich the lives of those in need and ignite the power of togetherness through all businesses and
the community of Sacramento. To that end, CPU will promote and expand on opportunities to thousands of
Sacramento businesses small and large alike to give back for a great cause helping millions of people in
need through SPOTLIGHTPAGES.COM and other various promotions, including a family oriented event
  coming Summer 2009.

Under this sponsorship, CPU will help to erase the impact of obstacles for non-profit organizations by donating
50% of all promotional sales on SPOTLIGHTPAGES.COM to SFBFS. This valuable sponsorship, will support
a variety of programs that help strengthen families in our community through basic human services, support
and education. This includes services such as the Mother-Baby, Food Assistance, Clothes Closet and Child
Services Programs that promote every possibility to change the lives of those who are willing to grow as
  individuals, into true community.

  Thank you,
  CPU Event Staff

beneficiary SFBS.ORG

SFBFS is dedicated to assisting those in need by:

Alleviating their immediate pain and problems and moving with them toward
  self sufficiency and financial independence.

SFBFS accomplishes the above goals through the following services:

  - Providing Adult Education
  - Providing Mothers with guidance and their infants with food and diapers
  - Helping women heal emotionally and physically through artistic expression
  - Strengthening families through a program of ethics and self-esteem
  - Providing early childhood education and youth services
  - Feeding the hungry
  - Clothing the poor
  - Housing homeless families with children
  - Furnishing seniors with a social club and volunteer opportunities
  - Providing high-tech knowledge for youth

SFBFS has a well-planned strategy guiding all of its programs. This strategy involves a large cadre of volunteers
who offer integrity in 'mentoring', 'bridge-building', and walking 'hand-in-hand' with people.

SFBFS runs a very lean grassroots organization with an incredibly efficient professional staff of 37, and a
volunteer workforce of well over 1,000 annually. Despite the fact that operating costs for many non-profits
escalate, SFBFS has effectively managed to keep the quality and quantity of services at the highest standards.

In fact, for every dollar donated, Sacramento Food Bank & Family
Services distributes $10.00 worth of products and services back into the community.
